Photo of the Week – Poondahra Falls

I’ve been crazy busy with work over the last month, which means I’ve had to resort to using my blogging/photo editing time (between 10 and 2 at night) to actually sleep. I finally had a full day on the photos today and did some more finishing touches on this one of Poondahra Falls at Springbrook N.P.

This shot was another from our walk on the Warrie Circuit and I’m sure benefits from the large amount of water that was flowing.

I’m currently in the process of preparing this as a 40 x 60 inch canvas print for a special customer and am super excited to see the end result.

    • Ta Jane. Yep, I kept telling myself that I didn’t have time to stop and take photos of anything else, otherwise we weren’t going to be back before dark. I did walk past numerous things I would otherwise have stopped for, but when I got to these ones I had to stop. We did get back after dark. 😛

  1. Cameron, it was well worth the wait as my computer seemed intent on not loading your image, but eventually I got to see it. Spectacular! I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on how the canvas print goes, as I’ve never seen one up close before. 🙂 Leah

    • Thanks Leah. Glad you persisted. The quality of canvas printing and the frame used can vary quite a bit. If done right, it is a great medium. You don’t get the absolute sharpness and detail that you get on good papers, but the textured surface can be nice too.
